Triple-Play Scrap Quilting Lesson Plans
This lesson plan is for a course of classes that feature four quilts that can be made from 10" squares (plus some yardage for borders, backing, and binding). Each quilt is successively more difficult (from novice to intermediate) and builds on skills learned in the previous quilt.
When teaching new quilters, the classes should be taught in sequence, along with an optional pre-series class for selecting fabrics for the quilts. Each quilt is presented in the book in three different styles of fabrics, as well as with different settings and border options, to show the novice quilter various options for completing her own version of the quilt. If you aren’t using the trunk show that accompanies this lesson plan, make samples of the quilts to hang in the shop; samples always create interest and attract more students to the class.
